How long are sessions?
All sessions are 50 minutes in length.
How often should I come?
Ideally, it is recommended that you come once a week in the beginning, so that you can get into the momentum of changes and then switch to less if you wish.
How many sessions will I need?
It’s impossible to predict how long you will be in therapy once you begin. For some, a short period is all they need, for others, therapy process that can take years. Therapy is most effective when you are willing to take it beyond the time you spend with your therapist and implementing it into your daily life.
What if I have to cancel?
Similar to most professions, a 24-hour cancellation policy is in place. Without sufficient notice, you will be charged the full amount for your missed appointment. The exception to this is illness or bad weather.
Is psychotherapy covered by OHIP?
No, however if you have an Employee’s Extended Healthcare Insurance or private insurance, you may want to check if psychotherapy is covered under your plan. In addition, psychotherapy services are always covered as a CRA Medical tax-deductible expenses.

The CRPO is the College that regulates the profession of psychotherapy in Ontario. Since becoming a regulated profession, Registered Psychotherapists are being recognized more commonly by insurance companies. If your employer/insurer does not yet provide coverage for RPs, you might be able to request extended coverage.

What are your methods of payment?
Session fees can be paid by cash or e-transfer. If you choose to e-transfer, the e-transfer must be sent before our session begins and will be accepted/deposited after the session is completed.
Do you do ONLINE Therapy/E-Counselling/Video Chatting?
Yes, I have several clients who prefer to do counselling from the comfort of their home and these methods of counselling are highly effective.
I’ve never been to therapy before, and I’m not sure how I feel about talking to stranger about my feelings. How do I know if this is right for me?
